Our Excavator Bucket Hire FAQs

Learn more about our excavator buckets and the hiring process here.

01 I’m a new customer looking for an excavator bucket to hire, what is the process?

As a new customer, the first thing you need to do is get in touch. You can select “Enquire Now” next to any piece of excavator bucket hire equipment, you will fill out your contact details and then we will contact you. You can also email us directly, or if you’d prefer to speak to someone straight away, you can give us a call. Our depots are also open 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, so you’re more than welcome to come down for a brew.

We will find out a bit more about your project and what you’re looking for, then we can make recommendations. If you know exactly what you’re looking for, that’s no problem, we can simply get the excavator bucket hire arranged. We also have a vast fleet of plant machinery to hire, as well as attachments, tools and site cabins, so if you require any other equipment for your project, you can arrange it all with us. For those of you potentially looking for plant machinery for sale, we can also discuss the options with you.

Once you’re happy with everything in place, we will finalise your excavator hire plan and then start the new account set up:

You will fill out the new customer account form, and provide us with your hired-in plant insurance. Don’t worry if you don’t have this, we can arrange it for you at an additional 20% charge.

We will introduce you to your account manager, who will be your point of contact throughout the duration of your excavator bucket hire.

On the date arranged in your hire plan, we will deliver your excavator bucket hire machinery and anything else outlined in the plan. An engineer will be present to calibrate the excavator attachment and will make sure everything is running smoothly before we leave.

During your excavator bucket hire, we can send live-hire reports and useful invoicing information if that would be helpful, which we tend to find is with larger projects.

Once you’re finished with the excavator bucket, all you need to do is give us a call. We know that projects often run over, so you don’t need to let us know in advance when you think you’ll finish. Keep the excavator bucket hire for as long as you need, then when you call, we will pause all charges and collect ASAP.

We will have a final debrief and then look forward to hopefully working with you again in the future!

02 What size excavators can your excavator bucket hire machinery be attached to?

Our excavator buckets to hire can be attached to excavators between 5 and 40 tonnes, offering great versatility, from construction to demolition, quarrying and landscaping, no matter how big or small the project is. No matter the size of the excavator you’re using, the excavator bucket hire machinery features heavy duty ribs and a thick leading edge, making them highly resistant to wear and very reliable.

03 Can I use my own excavator for the excavator bucket hire?

Yes, it’s no problem for you to use your own excavator for the bucket hire. We have excavators to buy or hire if required, but it’s absolutely fine for you to use your own. Our collection of head brackets means that we can attach our excavator buckets to any excavator, so we can find the solution that fits you best.

04 Why choose Chippindale for excavator bucket hire?

Firstly, we invest in the most efficient, safest and high quality equipment that is available. We have worked in the industry for over 70 years, so we know what it takes to provide our customers with a fantastic piece of machinery and that’s at the core of everything we do. We don’t simply go for the biggest brand names, but machinery we know that we can trust and would use ourselves. We only provide you with the best, it’s as simple as that.

Along with this, we have a strong focus on creating the best possible teams across our depots. Starting as a small family business over 7 decades ago, we are all about people, so we only hire passionate, committed and knowledgeable team members who want to help you find the right solution for your project. You’ll never be in touch with pushy sales people, just good people who you’ll always enjoy a good cuppa with and are experts in their field.
